The Body Shop was founded by entrepreneur Dame Anita Roddick, when in 1976 she started selling around 25 hand-mixed naturally inspired products with minimal packaging from one small shop in Brighton, England.

Over the years Anita and The Body Shop have run campaigns against human rights abuses, protecting animals and the environment and shown commitment to boosting self-esteem, winning the support of a generation of consumers.

Version3 Limited are the new franchise owners of The Body Shop NZ, with the first store opening in Richmond Mall in Nelson, November 2025. Customers are at the forefront of everything we do, say and deliver. We strive to create a fantastic experience for everyone who works with us.

We have one physical store located in Richmond Nelson and soon to be in Riccarton Mall Christchurch
